Headed down to take samples to UPS... It has been a cloudy day all day... Temps hit 43 and the snow has shrunk by at least half...it is very heavy now with the warming making it the perfect kind of packing snow... It is almost slushy now. The best thing is the way it is soaking into the earth...

Get through the winter... and then next year you can redesign the hoop type top, use the kind of pipe you know will handle the weight... and redo it so you can walk in it and use it for storage as a root cellar more comfortably.

@fuzzi .... yes... but realize that it takes 12 " of snow to equal 1 " of rain... and we are many INCHES of rain short... I do not really want FEET of snow..... still getting it like this is not bad... Just don't like all these "teens" for temps.
