Does South Dakota have a cattle association like TX does for things like possible stolen livestock? Does SD require brands on animals ? I would alert any other sale barns within a couple hundred miles...

The trick to fencing any chicken in or out..... They need somewhere to LAND at the top of the fence... even some can "land/balance" on cow or hog panels... ESPECIALLY lighter breeds like leghorns, minorcas, game birds... if you are fencing them out of the garden... the fence needs to lean...
A word to the wise on JD tractors. There has been a real problem with the technology... especially on the bigger farm tractors... IF/WHEN some of these stupid electronic sensors go bad/ something sets them off... the tractors can only be worked on by JD techs due to some "secret" agreements...
Came in to eat a sandwich... going back out to get on mower since the grass has dried. We wound up with just under .4 inch rain... wonderful... not enough but better than none....

Sorry for you losing her... We have a couple of guys here that do night hunting of coyotes... and deer on farms that have kill permits... because we are getting over run with both. Are there no hunting clubs that can come and hunt them? I realize you have a limited amount of land/space...
