How do you handle ticks?

I'm looking for goat answers specifically but we have so many ticks here that I'm interested in any answers.
Our property is mostly wooded and I've decided to run a couple of nannies through there with movable fencing. (They normally live in a large paddock that our chickens and guinea fowls access and I've never found ticks on them before).
They're clearing the woods very well and I'm excited about it. But they both have several ticks on them already. I'm not surprised. There's enough of them that I'm thinking I should look at my options.
I'd prefer something that kills rather than repels. I mean, does anyone use Frontline or revolution on their goats? 🙈
Essential oils?
I know permethrin kills little bugs but constantly having to reapply it doesn't really make it feasible.

Virginia is for Pasture Farmers!
Permethrin cattle tags are braided or attached to halters on horses. Can probably ear tag the goats or put them on collars.
The equispot horse tick liquid, I've heard of people using them on goats. Idk dose, but the horse one, half a tube on a large mini. So, probably a third to fourth for a goat. Each pastern, pole, tail dock and wither.

Can your guineas access this wooded pasture?
Yes, but they don't go over there often.
Dewormer will kill ticks. Also, tried food grade DE rubbed into their coat?
I've had no success using DE against bugs in the past. Never again, lol
Almost anything will require reapplying to some degree.
Yes, But I was more thinking about something I could apply monthly, rather than having something wash away in the rain, like permethrin.

Ahh, equispot sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks for the idea! I'll look into it.

Would any of this be the same for sheep? I know sheep and goats are a lot alike.
