We just moved to 30 acres of paradise. Previously, we raised chickens, muscovy ducks and the occasional meat rabbit. Now with the additional acreage, we plan to glean knowledge and slowly grow our herd. We have goats that are being delivered early this summer (Dwarf Nigerians), and we are still looking to purchase a few sheep to add to our beginner farm as well. My children would LOVE for Valais Blacknose sheep, but...I'm pretty sure there aren't any in the US. After we get the hang of goats and sheep, we plan to add on heritage pigs and finally our own dairy cow and beef!! Once the 1000 acres behind us is ready for us, we will have more land to rotate for pastures and endless grazing.
