Wipe thin amount on bare spots on outside of ears. Once is. pretty much it -- check every 3-4 days for any more spots...and hair re-growth. You can put it on the entire ear outside but your just killing any unseen nits, ringworm, etc that might be causing this. Watch for improvement. It's a forgiving drug, so no worries about that use. Just like you'd put lotion on you own skin. Use the regular paste. Save the "gold" one ... It's got another chemical in it that won't hurt but, better saved for another use.

Is kid 2 showing any similar issues?
Okay thank you! No, he’s not. I did put some on his ears too just incase but now that I think about it I probably shouldn’t have done that. When I was in the pen I did notice some screws that were too long so I wonder if the injured one rubbed against it and that’s how he got the cut on his neck? I do feel like his neck is improving already.

File those screws off!! Yes, could be culprit. The cut will heal, you won't even know in a couple weeks. Wormer on 2nd, won't hurt him.

Their skin will absorb and won't hurt them. You use it to deworm them anyway.
