I've learned one thing already that I won't soon forget. Pen breeding is NOT something I'm comfortable with. She just about tackled me for her grain tonight, so we're still hanging on every potential sign. Thank God for monitors!
"It's my Dad's pick, after Olivia from The Waltons... I just hope that he doesn't want all the names this year to be Waltons... unless they are all doelings, and then I'm okay with that."
I just read that all doelings seem to have longer gestations...so longer is a GOOD thing!
I'll second the goat buddy, maybe even two! I ran into problems with separation even with two (who had previously been in a large herd together). We had to divide one of the horse stalls for one's imminent birth. The other pines without her.
Also, ditto on the loose minerals. I tried the small...
Okay, it looks like the second breed date was it, so Day 150 is now May 3rd. I hope she agrees!
She says, "Hi!"

Not much change?

Still nimble enough to scratch...
20kids:
Tell me what she had! It seems Accuracy has decided she likes all of the attention and intends to just stay pregnant! Those ligaments came back again, so we're still waiting! :he: :barnie
I think I'll go tell her I've decided I deserve a cruise, and I'll be back next week. I can go...
Thanks! I think today just might be Kid Day! Her udder is shiny, she appears to be having mild contractions, and the biggie for her....drumroll please...she didn't growl at the other doe over grain, she left some!
Think pink!
Still waiting...that must be SOME kinda party going on in there!

Is this "normal", to be this big AND keep eating (and pooping about every 5 minutes)...
I need to cut the goatie cell reception- no cahoots on leg crossing!
I'm afraid to even type it, but I felt no ligs this morning. Her udder has grown again...getting closer!
