Apparently I got Dazzle’s due date wrong... she kidded yesterday with quad DOES!! They will all be DNA’d. They’re either sired by Almar Acres Danika or 40 West Farm Purple Diesel. Either way, they will be lightly linebred on Castle Rock Cleveland Sage.
Dazzle’s dam finished her championship...
We had LA Saturday. I brought 4 does, but Dazzle was excused for being dry. We didn’t do great, the girls didn’t fill very well, but I’m happy with where we’re headed. They were troopers for being hauled 7 hours in my 4 runner with no AC. :hugs
Gotta B Kid N Stella Maris - EVVV 89 (FS)...
That’s no fun! My dad is a MOHS surgeon and I’m currently working for him as a student. Are you sensitive to lidocaine? We don’t use novocaine, but usually ice before the anesthetic injection to “numb before the numbing”.
I haven’t posted in awhile, but thought I’d share the results of Saturday’s show. The Florida Dairy Goat Assocation put on a 3 ring show and I brought 3 seniors and a junior. By the time the senior show was finished at 4 in the afternoon, I was exhausted and left before the junior show started...
So exciting!
So you’re not breeding Isaac yet because he was recently dewormed with Valbazen or because you want to prevent the shed worms from infecting your does? I know Valbazen is dangerous for pregnant does, but I didn’t know it could be for bucks.
I live in FL and feed the south’s version of alfalfa- Perrenial Peanut hay. It is $11-14 a small bale, but we found someone who makes 800# round bales for $100 apiece. About 1/3 of it is grass hay mixed in and the goats don’t eat it. I can’t get them to eat anything but peanut.
