So sorry for your loss. My doe is a pygmy/nig cross and she had discharge for a few days after birht then about a week later she had that dark color dischrge your talking about. She is 4 weeks out now and all cleared up so I think that is normal.
RIght now I only have enough milk to make soap. But when I start getting more from my other two I will be getting one of those. I am too impatient to skim fat...lol. I have been making soap full time for over a year now and I still get impatient with it.

Is Ivemectrin plus ok to use though? The vet told me it was but I have not used any yet since they are fine. I have been using the herbals though and I hope that works because I like that idea better than the chemicals. I didnt quarentine mine since I didnt have any goats to start out with...

I had a pregnant doe too starting out. Here is what the vet told me to do on her over the phone. Bring her a fecal sample(it checked fine) and also I should check her lower eye lid on the inside for pink. The darker pink the better...
I would also check thier eyes to make sure they are not anemic. Just pull down thier bottom lid and make sure it is a healthy dark pink color. My vet told me to do this.
