Little Edna (whom we are calling ET for short) is a week old today. I weighed her and she has gained a whole pound in 1 week! I think she's eating really well, don't you? Sorry, the picture isn't the greatest, but it's really windy here today and it makes the cold cut right through you and...
When I took our 2 baby goats to the vet last week he told me that the draught has caused lots of birthing problems with most large animals. That's what he caulked it up to. I'm sure the draught affects many things in ways we would never guess. Funny that he brought that up and now there is an...
Either way! Haha! I carry back and forth to the stanchion, because I do use it in the kitchen to seal canning jars with dry goods. Really only used it once to relieve her engorgement, but will be carrying it back and forth with the rest of my milking supplies.
Ginger and little Edna, whom we are now calling ET, because those were Edna's initials, are really doing well. Ginger is back to her usual self after the birthing and is doing a great job with little ET. Little ET has gotten lots more active and playful after her injection of selenium. Still...
Love to hear the stories of the goats. So don't feel badly about your post being long, because I really enjoyed it. Speaking for myself, I'm a goat lover and it's nice to be able to hear others' stories, because I know they may help me in the future with my goats. Peaches sounds like a great...

She certainly doesn't like her picture taken! Can't blame her, neither do I! Avoid it at all costs! She certainly is very pretty, what I could see of her. Congrats on the new acquistion. She's precious! :love
Thanks for the wonderful comments everyone. Everyone at this forum is so special to me. To make us feel better brought the youngest granddaughter Sarah over (13), who was also grieving at the future loss of a friend moving away at the end of the school year. She hadn't see the babies yet, so...
