I am going to order some Bene-Bac for a doe that has digestive problems. Is there a homemade substitute that I can use right now until I get the Bene-Bac? Like yogurt? (I would use my homemade raw goat milk yogurt.) Any other home remedies? Thanks!

Well, I guess we will always have to have it turned on. And we may have to use 4 strands, but I think we'll try three first. Now, the question is- what to do about a gate.....??? I guess we could just put the goats in their pen, and turn the fence off while we work in the garden.

What do you mean the chicken "blasted through"? Was this a one-time incidence or do they frequently go through?

We are getting NDs this spring and we would like to be able to free-range them sometimes, but we don't know what to do about our HUGE (vegetable) garden. Will a three-strand electric fence keep the goats out? (It would be nice if it kept the chickens out, too?) Thanks!

I have been giving them alfalfa/orchard mix, but I haven't been able to find any. Is grass hay OK for them? They get rabbit pellets, so the the hay would just be a source of roughage to keep their system running smoothly. I found some bales on Craigslist, that I might get tomorrow. What do...

Yep, every time I picked up one of my babies I would point them away from myself and sometimes stroked their belly so they could empty themselves, then I would cuddle with them. They eventually stopped.
