His mother is full blooded kangal that I know for sure. His sire looks exactly like him and breeder says that he is kangal too :hu Maybe there was something else way back in the gene pool? Because the more I look at pics of Sars the more he looks like them o_O this is him with his winter coat...

we usually use shutterfly for our xmas cards. But it was getting expensive and no one sends any back. So i stopped . I send just a few out every year now.

ah ok thanks everyone! Im trying to figure out when to wean these guys, Im thinking 3 months? at least that seems to be a common wean time from what I have read.

The fall leaves are my favorite , its like living in a post card or a painting. Such vibrant reds and yellows!

Our 2 lambs are almost a month old now, and are already in to their mothers food and eating hay. Is this normal? Why did i think they would stick to just milk lol They seem very healthy, and active so im not too concerned. But as I am a bit of a newbie i wondered if that's how it usually goes.

The warm weather and rain melted off quite a bit of the snow, so everyone went outside to get some fresh air. Which gave me a chance to take some pictures :) I know you all love pics so here you go!

lol we were at 3 degrees this morning. Was chilly that's for sure, but i know in Jan and Feb it will get even colder. You know its bad when 30 feels warm o_O

Maple doesn't like being stuck inside with her lambs. But it is so cold and so icy out that I don't want to risk her hurting herself or her lambs. I try to let them out for a few minutes while we clean their stall then put them back in but she isn't happy about it. Trying to ignore this cold...

We don't have electricity in our barn yet or water, so we have to run very long extension cords from the chicken coop that has power , over to the barn and carry 5 gallon buckets of water. We use those big steel heating coils, we don't have a choice those big livestock watering bins can't be...

Hope this is the right spot to ask ? We have a big truck and trailer, but the trailer is over kill for the 2-3 sheep we will be taking to shows through out the summer. So we have been thinking of just getting a lighter trailer for my suv to pull to save some gas money instead of using the truck...
