    Wolfemomma - Our Homestead Journey

The deck is the worst! we have to keep the corners cleared off, because who ever built it is an Id&$*% and put no supports on the outside corners. It gets to heavy for it.

Here are some snow pictures :) the snow was so wet and heavy the snow blower couldn't even handle it, use the atv plow for the rest of it and even that was a struggle. Regardless, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope all of you did as well :)

    Wolfemomma - Our Homestead Journey

Got our first large snow fall this morning. Looks like we might have to actually break out the snow blower. Since hubby is working more, now its up to me to learn how to use it o_O wish me luck! Still to dark out there to take pictures, but it looks beautiful. Once the sun rises I will make...

    Wolfemomma - Our Homestead Journey

I walked in the pasture with it open, he usually runs right up and starts his crap. This time he stood back and just stared lol He kept his distance, it was glorious  When i swung it forward he jumped back. He thinks im crazy but whatever works right. Just more entertaining stuff for the...

    Separating at feeding time/nutritional needs.

I mean are you really a farmer if you haven't stood out in the pasture and argued with your husband about one of your visions lol

    Wolfemomma - Our Homestead Journey

These girls are slowly warming up to me. They definitely keep their distance though. My other two ewes and the ram are always in my face, and in the way...so nosey lol Though it makes moving them to new stalls easier, all i have to do is walk towards them and they go where i want them to. The...

    Separating at feeding time/nutritional needs.

I have been known to just stand out in the pasture and look and envision where to put things. Sometimes it works. Other times my vision is wrong  Usually the ram or the dog find the faults for me lol

I love cattle panels too! Usually we use metal wire, the kind you use for electric fencing. :) I have to go out to the barn and sit and imagine where each thing is going. The plan is to eventually have a large barn built, that way I can have multiple areas. For now , we have to deal with what we...

    Devonviolet Acres

Cut flowers do sell really well, upwards of 5-10$ for one sunflower. And those are super easy to grow :)

    Separating at feeding time/nutritional needs.

I was thinking of building feeding pens, individual ones. I saw some on youtube...and they might work. I already have a bunch of cattle panels so i won't have to buy much.

    Separating at feeding time/nutritional needs.

Because my show ram is not fed what my brood ewes are. They have completely different needs. My ewe lamb can be fed what the ewes are on, but I would like her on show feed instead. If my ewes eat show feed they will get to fat lol Culling is not an option for any of them at this point.

    Separating at feeding time/nutritional needs.

My ram will tie, and stand but he is on the same feed as the ewe lamb...but he cant be with that ewe lamb because I dont want her bred yet. I cant separate her from the other ewes because because she freaks out being alone. I might just have to let some of my ewes eat the ewe lambs grain as...

    Separating at feeding time/nutritional needs.

I have a couple sheep that are on a different grain to help their condition, i have others that are on no grain. Separating everyone is a huge issue. I can't seem to find a way to do it that is easy for me to manage on my own. During the week its just me doing chores while hubby is at work. How...

    Wolfemomma - Our Homestead Journey

Thanks everyone :) I enjoy taking pictures of them, it helps me practice with my larger camera. I got some of the dog to that I will have to share. I have been looking at ordering tags for the new lambs that are coming. since its our first time with our own flock tags. does the number on the...
