@ farmerjan I don't know. The internet views on goat fencing are just SO confusing. Probably one of the most contentious topics I have ever researched. Initially I was leaning toward electric but many ppl seem to regard it as worthless to constrain goats. I like the panel approach because it is...
It's the infamous attention sponge back with another unlikely scenario question.
I always considered this to be an "urban legend" thing, but since I have read several "supposedly" first hand accounts of this (one here on BYH I believe), I just gotta ask.
Breeding through the wire.
Now I don't...
And @Baymule Sorry about all these questions, but you keep accomodating me, and I am certainly an eager student to learn. All this is an exciting new world for me, and I hate not being forearmed.
Ok. Remember you're talking to someone who has just begun to climb out of the primordial ooze.
Poop hits the ground. Contaminated. Do you mean worms crawled INTO it from the ground or OUT of it into the ground? Isn't goat poop somewhat solid coming out, like rabbit poop? I am not talking last...
Since my bunny quest is 99.5% finished, I can start thinking about my next (and possibly last) expansion. Goats- mid to late spring. I'm still unsure about this one. Research scares the beejesus out of me about fencing. But still I plod on. Ideally, I wanted temporary fencing because the goats...
Now Baymule....o_O I can get pretty kinky sometimes, but that one's got me arching my eyebrows just a bit!
Necessary, of course. Not overly disgusting I can buy. But if you think of that as "a helluva great time!" you might want to talk with someone professionally.

I don't know if the picture shows it well. In the process of hanging cages. No wall. No ledge. And the rafters where chains are hooked, they are sloped for water runoff, so no level. Two rows, front and back, with about a 2' walkway between.
But like I said. Successful, pretty darn level, and...
BUT PAW! I don't wanna be a farmer!
I've KNOWN farmers. Out in the July sun cutting hay all day, worried sick its gonna rain before they can get it raked and baled. When they're not out working on their tractor all day, they're out working ON their tractor all day. Got to build barns for the...
Are you kidding? That's what I LOVE about this site! People ALWAYS "get all up in your business" without asking. (Especially @Baymule God I love that woman). I'm such a newby and have no idea what I'm doing and many people recognize that. So if I say I'm gonna take the garbage out, somebody...
Ok everybody, problem solved. In all my brilliance, and forethought (i.e. blind luck  ) when I got all the cages hung, they fit perfectly, and one judiciously placed nail + 2, 3inch pieces of wire, and the cages are solid as a rock.
I even figured out to suspend them with rope until I...
Rabbit cages. All wire. Suspended.
Why didn't you guys warn me?
A. That it takes at least three people to hang,
level, and align them? I had to build a frame tall enough to set them on, first. Even then, its a nightmare to adjust the
Chains so they're level all...
Oh, one last thing before I go. @Baymule I tried the eggnog, but a couple of questions? You said separate the eggs. Is separated into two groups enough? I put six on one end of the table and six on the other....but I suppose I COULD line them around the edge, so they'd all be separated.
Also...
@Baymule my god woman! Do you have your own cooking show or something???
Ok. My epicurian egg delight.
Utensils: bowl (cereal size), fork, microwave, toaster
Ingredients: 1 egg, 1 sausage patty (frozen) OR ham slice, pinch of pre-shreded cheese and 1 English muffin.
Prep: place sausage in...
59 degrees. Partly cloudy. 10% chance of rain.
That's what the weather forcast was at 8:00 this morning. RIGHT! It's 10%ing like crazy right now. And I was wearing insulated gloves, a stocking cap, and still pretty chilly.
Too bad you're not closer. I would sure hook you up with eggs. My 6 EEs are being real troopers. 6 eggs one day, 4 the next. Only a month ago it was a steady 6-a-day. Took 4 doz to my sister on Thanksgiving. Have 4 doz in the kitchen now. Eggs frozen. Eggs pickled. Can you dehydrate eggs? :hide...
