Cindy-that is seriously a slice of genius!!! I never would have thought of this! Thank you for sharing! I'll be scouting the closet for old long sleeves (don't have many!)
Ksalvagno-the twins were just born the 29th.I haven't had a chance to weigh them yet,but my guess is +/- pound.
What is everyone's course of action for caring for their new babies in this cold?!
I am fully aware I am in nowhere the freezing temps that some of you are dealing with. I am in So California, and the goats (and myself) are not used to this cold! My babies were born in 70' weather with night...
Before you even wrote Valentine, I thought it'd be a cute name!
Cupid, Romeo, Bo n' Arrow, Love me Tender, Romance, Prince, King of Hearts, Shakespeare,...somethng with heart on sleeve, since that's what he has! Sooooooo cute!
:love
Oh you poor thing. Your 100% on conception date?
I'm hoping because its the girls first, they are cooking one big healthy baby and that's what the delay is. :fl
There we go...that's making more sense now. My girls are feb 24/26 and look similar to Gretel. Agnes does look further along possibly. Bambi hollowed out right before she delivered. I swore she didn't even look preggers at the end.
You poor thing. Been chompng at the bit for a while now only to...
Do you have an estimate on your 150days? I remember you saying February. ...but I could be mistaken.
I agree with the 'doe code' posted, as I just had a similar experience this week. Give up, think you counted wrong, know it won't be 'tonight'...and poof! Lil miracles waiting for you!
:yuckyuck
Although Im not one to laugh or judge....especially since I just bought two more (including another buck when I already have 3!!!) And have two new babies on the ground and 2 more does due in the next couple of weeks! No judgement!
But you ARE right....Reeses babies are soooooo...
Oooooo that's encouraging! !!!
Bambi ate all her dinner and grain in her birthing stall....5hours later there were 2 little bundles crying for milk!
Hoping they come soon!
Oh my goodness what a brood! !!! congratulations. Very sorry for your stillborn. But 3healthy babies and healthy momma is something to celebrate!
I know you are focusing on keeping everyone warm and safe. Cannot wait for pics as soon as you are ready!
Awwwwwww!!!!!!! :love
Congratulations on all the girls!!!! I'm going down to the barn and telling my does all about the little girls amd its our turn!
So happy for you:weee
Sweetened-don't be too jealous! Your still basking in your doe mommy glow! Bambi was sooooo sweet too! Now she's not even 'leave me alone'....more like attack of the killer mama goat!!!! Lol!!!
She's slowly but surely coming around. I'm very patient, and persistent!
I just need to be...
Thank you x1000000000!! Yes, very thrilling to have 2 big healthy boys. I just heard from my friend (that the new guys are coming from and breeding for a decade) she couldn't believe how big they were either! Which I pretty neat from my first kidding....my first babies ever born to me period...
Thank you everyone!!!!!!:hugs
This has been so thrilling. My little men (I was telling the little mama clone to be a girl, he didn't listen lol) are so precious! Already strong little beefcakes and striking poses like their parents do in the shows!!!
The chocolate and white really takes...
