If it's the same thing that we call spiny pigweed around here - my goats eat it. They don't eat it to the ground unless it's very young. Once the stem starts to thicken they only pick off the leaves. It's never hurt them.

Can you dispatch them and maybe toss 'em to the ranch dogs for disposal? When I've previously butchered ducks I only took the breast and legs. No gutting! I skinned the legs and only plucked the breast. It wasn't terrible...
