I choose to live where that isn't a concern ;)
@Bruce
It's not always about where you live, lol. I was on a trip alone some years back. Stopped at a very busy, well-known roadside mega-convenience store. Came out to my car and two men who had been standing on the porch talking walked to the...
I haven't had a Coccidia problem since I started using Toltrazuril. You give it to kids at 3, 6, and 9 weeks. Some folks do another dose at 12 weeks, but I haven't seen the need. It's expensive. But, it's simple to use and it's the best thing I've EVER used for coccidia...
Years ago I showed goats and one of the other exhibitors (who won tons) shredded his alfalfa hay (stems and leaves) before offering it to his goats. He mixed some grain with it and they scarfed it up. No waste! He also offered grass hay in it's natural form for the long-stemmed roughage that...
Yep! I'm not so good at names either unless I make a real effort to remember. That includes things like repeating the name (to myself) at least 7 times, making sure I use their name when we're talking and in parting (like it was so nice to meet you Kathy) and trying to find something unique to...

I really want to test some who I haven't witnessed breedings on - but Conan...
Looks like a great herd to me. With your bucks you might have a very colorful spring!
You've been thinking about this for a long time and it's coming to fruition! YaY!
Can you get him to a vet? No open wounds? The swelling could be bleeding under the skin or from the trauma and muscle damage.
He probably needs, at the very least, anti-inflammatories and probably pain meds. Can you get Banamine? If he does have an open wound that you haven't seen yet...
Vet's input is generally valuable if you can. Using the doe's colostrum over replacement is also a good idea and always preferred. Does he have a suckle reflex? Have you tried a bottle instead of a syringe? The red nipples with the yellow base are great for newborns.
Agree with selenium...
Oh dang! I feel your pain because I've done that before! I've done it with a whole pot of coffee and I've even forgotten to put a cup under the Keurig. Yep...it happens.
Go sling those pet food bags! That'll help you work off some of the worries!
Hope the battery exchange shows that your...
