Summer here, 80s, so I have been working outside today. I organized my smaller shed, then came inside, sat in the recliner, and am struggling to NOT fall asleep!
Oh, and I picked up another month's worth of Galliprant from the vet, for my elderly dog. It helps her relax and sleep at night, but...
Been a busy week, job and yard work.
I did get the shade cloth changed on my hoop coop on Wednesday:
Now there's no gap between shade cloths, so the flock are better sheltered from the rain.
And today I organized the small "chicken" shed. The items I'm gathering for goats will go in here...
I appreciate that. I am learning about electric fencing and with the videos and input like yours I think I will do okay.
Thanks for the encouragement, @Finnie and @Baymule, too. I didn't do much today after church and dinner. My body said "Don't push" and I have learned to listen to it.
Back...
No fencing updates this weekend, had to take care of the steps.
While sanding:
After staining:
I have kept stair treads on the right side, might account for the difference in color.
Then I stained one side and part of the back of our big shed. Whew.
Today after church and cooking dinner I...
After it healed and I was done with physical therapy I would walk at a brisk pace at work. People would ask me why I was walking so fast and I answered "Because I CAN!"
Not flock or herd related...but how I spent most of my Saturday...
Steps need attention, sand and stain.
My new toy:
I removed a bunch of loose stain flakes, down to bare wood in some areas.
Think I might need another sanding pad!?
Halfway done!
Second side done, mat cleaned and...
Very pretty.
I love looking at snow...in photos. We may get one small snowfall a year, 2", melts the next day. We didn't get any last year, or the year before, so I think we're due for something more substantial this winter.

My dh is fed and has taken his meds, brother is awake and can keep an eye on dh so I have some freedom now. I wanted to start on sanding and staining the steps, but may have to settle for less today, it's a full day job that I don't want to split into two days.
Just now, chickens:
Slept late on my "day off", very unusual. I must have needed it, job's been extremely stressful lately. I had to sit with my dh this morning, as son/caretaker had errands to run. Oh well, will get outside later.
Coffee is good, and the sitting/downtime was probably mentally and physically...
Yes. Sorry. THR = total hip replacement. Left hip was fine, right had degenerated to a point where I had no range of motion. I was essentially in a wheelchair at age 49. Orthopedic surgeon said it probably was a congenital defect. My oldest sister also had issues with her right hip joint.
