    Katahdin ewes

I hear ya!! Mom here, big A for 5 yr. Hard, different life. 🫂 You can do this, just go slow. Chickens, sheep, a small garden. Rebuild yourself, relax, enjoy and yes, physical work for you & self care. You must stay active! Katahdin are a good choice, esp a friendly, pregnant doe. A friend...

Good morning everyone :celebrate Having coffee, it's overcast but hoping the rain stays south and heads east to ocean :fl. More water there is ok. I put hay in barns last night, in case it was raining this morn. Goats are thrilled, I'm sure 😁 orchard grass is always a hit. Working to give...

    Katahdin ewes

@RoseTeas Consider starting with 2 ewe....once they are old enough to breed, add the ram. You only need a ram for breeding. Unless you want to produce lambs to raise, no need for him at all. What do you plan for your farm? Are you wanting lamb for freezer fill? Just want pets? Do you have...

Well, after that -- things have to go better 😂 at least the flybag part!! Wowsers. Hope you have a day or two to unwind now For me, if I see or hear a vehicle " thing"....it's like, I gotta find it to know it's ok. I have a truck rattle, after a bump, and I'll jack it to find what's...

    Coffee anyone ?

So far, a good morning. I'm awake. It's a cool 56, still wet out from dew. Looking at rain a couple days this week, so hope to cut yard later. Home all week right now, might change. Overcast & I'd prefer sun 🥴 Better decide what I'd like to accomplish & get to it!

    Goats/Sheep?

Meat goat...Boer is my fav. Better forage conversion, excellent meat/bone ratio. They love the hot climates. Katahdin for hair sheep. I have no sheep but this would be my pick. Where you live makes a difference in what does well. The meat goats are primarily desert bred animals originally...

This morning I found we had had some rain last night 😳 quite a bit judging from puddles by road. Wasn't predicted but....came. Overcast most all day. So, no tractor time today. Maybe tomorrow. Tue/wed & Fri/Sat saying rain here. Yeah, I'm home all week :idunno :th

    Coffee anyone ?

@Margali so sorry to hear yet another issue to deal with -- Dominic (the dog, no brainer to fix). Sure you know there will be all new rules for meals now. So hard for children, they can't realize "why" as to how it affects them :hugs

I see a goat paradise for browse and clean up!! 😆 They'll do the job for FREE  :love yeah, they clean up like the best park crew ever....of course, those raised beds would be fair game if in their field. :idunno2 goats, maybe 4-5 days. Reconsider your "tree guy". Buy 2 goats. Ahhhh...
