Put them in even deeper after the pic, 5ft posts, 3ft in ground.
Lost that rod...and now i remember what happened to the last one. The crap metal the duckbill is made of fails and the rod goes through it, getting stuck. 🙄
Nice n deep! Need a bit more cable to finish securing it.
Got a panel...
😵💫 Va weather is absurd. Freezing at night, 80s and no clouds during the day. 😵💫
Half of the tposts are in! One cable attached.
I realized that i need to cut these trees back. Gotta do that before the roof goes on...
That...uh, is it too high on that side now?? 🤦🏽♀️
And the indoor raining...
Everyone on FB claims otherwise, especially hairsheep breeders.
Mine are wool, they respect nothing once the wool grows back in on their faces. 🤬 Nets would kill them, as they stick their heads through field fencing. 🙄
It's impossible to get FB people to understand that they're wrong, my wool...
I understand why cattle and horses are the king of livestock....They don't F with hot wire every day of my life! Bloody sheep....Cannot wait to be back to very few of these demonic things!
The horses and Moos passed dozens of times, never even thinking of crossing. Sheep? Hah! 🤬🤬🤬 Just making it...
:somad:rant:he:barnie
So tiring trying to use ground anchors. They're all a b*tch and honestly, impossible for me to get right. Idk why nor do I care.
I'm going back to what I always end up using, tposts. Just gotta buy 6 more, found 2 and there's 2 more I can pull up and reuse. Will put one for...
Frame is up! Started to level it. Gotta buy cinderblocks...
You can see the low side is still too low. It's also going down longways, but that may be okay to help water run off it.
I'm thinking either short walls, just cage depth, 2-3ft...Or none and two giant 6ft doors. The huge doors would...
$270 in the green. Plus Fennel sale.
Plus cart sale, 400.
Currently $710 in the green.
Zippy & Sugar should sell soon, too. 🤞
Who's left? Digit, Puff after she weans her kits...I'm forgetting someone, aren't I?
Tire was low again. 🙄🙄🙄 Break time to fill it.
Super windy day. May just get frame partly set up. Then get bricks to raise it off the dirt and level it. Anchor frame, then wait for a mellow day for the roof install.
Covid made the price jump, but luckily, it dropped back to the precovid price now for their "sale", and I was able to get two for 1088(tax included) per each, and each is 2ft wider and 5ft longer!! What a deal!
I'll rotate the old ones, but them on blocks and then use them for hay storage and...
Puff was rebred. Will cull if she fails to produce yet again.
Cruella's kits looking big.
Tealy kits, lost a 2nd runt. Down to 8.
Malty kits, also looking good.
The walls for the new, permanent rabbit building are here!
Building should show up this morning.
I have a bunch of 2×4s for framing. Idk if it's enough of them though. Have screws of different lengths, too. Will just need to buy plywood.
Finally done with all of the white fleeces. 🫠
All the seeds & vm I plucked out of the Seadra fleece. Adds up, 10 hairs at a time with a piece of vm.
Now, onto the black/gray fleeces!
There's 3 of them to do. Much, much smaller boxes of them. Hoping they'll go by faster...
Cruella kits
2 rews, a black, 2 broken castors and a solid castor?
10th Malty kit passed. Other two runts are fed, but tiny. We'll see if they're able to keep up and eat. Cruella's kits are already huge, so can't put them in her nest.
Both first timers, mom & dad and now proven producers.
Malty×Digit
10 kits, 8 alive & fed. Great nest and fur amount, she tried to nest in the cage the day I added it, but decided to use the nest once I relocated the hay back into it.
Also got the 8 drippers on bottles and then hung them up...
Well, after digging some dirt to level the ground in the easement, and measuring, it'd be a bad idea to go that way.
Then grumbling about the fences I have to drop, tight turns, fence out bull and iffy hills to traverse...DH and I decided to buy two new ones instead.
They're 1k again. And...
And Tealy had her second litter. 10! 2-3 are runty, so we'll see if they can make it. Didn't pull anywhere enough fur, but hot this morning, so all are warm and I added saved fur.
