I have a light bar on the front of my truck. I seldom drive at night and I have to be on a road with little to no oncoming traffic because it will blind people. It sure does light up the world! I keep my finger on the toggle switch to turn it off fast when I see headlights.
Coffee is ready. No rain in the forecast but it is getting cold. Temperatures are supposed to drop on the 30’s Thursday. Sunny for next 10 days, will warm back upto highs in 60s and 70s.
It’s still dark, I’ll go out to do battle with Granny in a little bit. At least it’s not raining. Stupid...
I got him fed twice this morning before I left. Went to a funeral in Livingston held at the church I went to for 30 years. Then went to lunch with old friends. Got home at 1:30, pouring rain. I went out, put the halter on Granny and she didn’t fight like a demon! This morning was a brawl. Tied...
Can’t fix stupid.
Coffee is ready, going to a funeral today. It’s in Livingston where I lived for 30 years. One of the elders at the church I went to. Gotta get out at first daylight to make stupid ewe Granny feed her lamb, then again before I leave.
Oshi has been a real experience, hasn’t he? Really makes you like calm rams even more. His son Rocky, is calming down and loves his animal crackers. Little Ringo is a stinker and loves to challenge me. He likes animal crackers too but acts like a jerk.
And Cooper? Just pet him, love him, brush...
I’ve said so many cuss words today that I oughta go wash my own mouth out with soap.
@farmerjan believe me, I’m considering that very thing. Some ewes have twins so fast that they haven’t finished cleaning up the first one before the other one pops out. Then they forget about the first one...
His tummy was empty. Ewe lamb was full. I put the halter on Granny, tied her up, pushed her against the wall and let the little boy eat! I let him eat until he just wasn’t interested any more. I got the ewe lamb up and started sucking. I had taken the halter off and Granny sniffed the ewe’s...
I went back out at 3:00 and both lambs were curled up, looked ok. Neither one was screaming in hunger. I put the halter on Granny, tied her head high and the ram lamb got busy. It went better this time. Going out now for last feeding.
Y’all go ahead and laugh. Laughing keeps us from going over...
You have made a big difference for this ewe. It’s hard for us to evaluate her without actually seeing her. I would take her back to the vet for final acessment .
Seriously conformation should take precedence over fluffy hair. Work your doe and make her the best she can be. You know what you are doing. She is gorgeous now and can only get even better.
