    Pumpkin as a dewormer?

Thank you for the correction, @greybeard ! I had never studied that deeply into it. I just knew my grandma and my mother had always done it, so I do it too. I grow an heirloom pumpkin that my grandma has been saving seeds from for years. It is a white and green pumpkin with hulless seeds...

    Pumpkin as a dewormer?

I feed pumpkin seeds to my chickens and rabbits as a worm preventative and have never had a problems with worms. I don't know if they would work to deworm goats or pigs. I know this thread is kinda old, but the question deserves an answer and I am curious as to what that answer will be, so I...

    From Baxter Black...predator free sheep

 I love Baxter Black. I always turn first to the back page of my Western Horseman magaine to read his column "The Edge of Common Sense". Baxter Black and Patrick McManus are my two favorite humorists ever.

Gypsy's Rambles, Wanders, Wonders and Blunders

My family's late Christmas dinner was today. It went well! The food was great, everyone got along, the kids were fairly well behaved and dinner was on the table no more than twenty minutes late. After squeezing in one last slice of apple pie, I unbutton the top button on my 501s, sighed, and...

10 days old today - when to change environment

I have never shelved baby rabbits, but mine are usually crawling out of the nest and nibbling on mom's food and drinking between 16-18 days old.

If you are not set on NZs, meat mutts are cheaper and easier to find, and you will get a nicer variety of pretty fur.

Craigslist, www.rabbitbreeders.us , small animal auctions, poultry swaps, feed store bulletin boards, and the state pages here and on backyard chickens would be great places to start.

That depends. Are they proven breeders? Are they pedigreed? Have their parents, their offspring, or themselves performed well at shows? If not, they are over priced. You can pick up NZs for $20-25, sometimes less for juniors.

I add a little pineapple juice to their water to appeal to their sweet tooth, sometimes that will help.

    12 Beautiful Baby Bunnies!!!

Rabbit lasagna sounds like an awesome idea! My brother and I go in halves on a butcher calf and a hog every fall, so I have a box of fat in the freezer. I have been dreaming of this grinder at Lehman's. https://www.lehmans.com/product/electric-meat-grinder-and-sausage-stuffer/

    12 Beautiful Baby Bunnies!!!

The blue one and the black one appear to be does, and they are the biggest, spunkiest ones in the litter. I think I'm going to keep both of them. :) I'm also planning on reserving the red buck out of Posey's litter... I've named him Opie. I'll probably want to keep a doe from Hosta's...
