I try to remember that, but I still have to deal with the issues! :( But thank you I am trying to stay positive in it all and realize it is not all our faults. We cant control how they are as mothers, or how babies dont realize there is heat a few feet away... :idunno
Absolutely. You are...
I just need to vent a little :he... and cry :hit... So please bear with me... this is a long post.
We had 4 confirmed bred does, and all 4 does have kidded. The first one, kidded triplets (2 girls, 1 boy), no assistance needed, all is good. Second and third (sisters) kidded the same day, one...
YAY!!! I've been watching....waiting....constantly... :old lol I'm obsessed :hide. I was watching yesterday when you were in there... vaccinating? And I thought something was going on for a while and thought, "Why is Lilli not in there? Is she kidding outside the pen?? What's the deal??!" Then...
I'm watching your livestream online!! I keep refreshing the page to check throughout the day! I'm so excited for you! My first one is due the 2nd... so I've got baby fever! I LOVE watching them give birth, it's truly a miracle to see... So thank you for sharing your livestream with us! :thumbsup
That happened to me last year! Came home to 3 does that kidded in the pasture (fortunately on a nice day), all within maybe 50 foot of each other, all 7 kids still wet (2 sets of twins and trips). I had no idea who's babies were whose! lol
I would be interested in your results as well. Like you said in an earlier post, it would DEFINITELY be a win for the goat community because disbudding is a TERRIBLE part of owning goats.
Hi, my name is Katrina, I'm addicted to goats.. It's all everyone knows about me... even those who don't know a thing about me know that I'm the "one with goats"... :hu :D =D
Thanks. I feed Alfalfa hay year round and it looks like the CA : P levels on that is 13:3, so I'm good there too, right?
Where would I be able to get AC and how would I know when to use it? Just when I see that he's in pain?
I dont know how to rotate the pic, sorry! I took it on my phone and its right side up on my phone...? :hu
I'm aware I need 2:1 Ca: P levels, which this grain seems to be... from what I see it's 1.3% Ca and .4% P, that's over 2.5% right...? But my main concern was the ammonium chloride, isn't...
I have had my girls on full feed for the past 2 months. Grain and alfalfa hay, plus browse. They have done wonderfully on it... we now have introduced our buck who will be living with them for the next couple months. We have taken the grain portion away because of him, but have continued the...

The fence is lined with hotwire, they can't be nursing...
We are milking them out completely... I guess I'll just let time run its course.. Thanks. UGH I just hate seeing them so depressed!
I see... I would plan on still caring for the bees as normal, the extraction part was my question. I am wanting to get into bees, dont know a darn thing about them, so I don't know if it would be beneficial or not... I'm afraid to chalk up that money for everything (which I don't even know what...

I don't know how I found this, but I did... Anyone have any idea how or IF it could even work? It makes me excited to even think of this, it basically means I won't need an extractor, right?
I have 3 mommas. I have pulled all of their babies as of a week ago yesterday. They share a fence line so they can see and smell each other, but cannot nurse. Babies have gotten used to being on pasture and now leave the fence line enough to eat and come around every now and again, however their...
