Well apparently Penny will be just fine. She's alert and awake and eating.

She was doing good when I got her home but today she has just been staying in the corner of the little brooder I set up. I'm trying to figure out what it could be because last year I bought 3 chicks and one died after 2 or 3 days. I'm hoping she's not ill just maybe tired

My little white leghorn is looking a bit lathargia. I'm hoping it's just her being tired and nothing else.

My newest additions to the flock: the lightest color chick is Penny she's a WL, the slightly darker light colored one is Cinnamon she's a EE, the black one is Peppa she's a BSL and the last one is Bernadebt she's an EE also.

Got 4 new babies today. 1 of each WL and BSL. 2 EE's. The BSL kept trying to jump out of the box through the holes in the top. 2nd to the youngest grandson wanted to feed them 🍟.

Going to try to convince my husband I need more chicks. The store I get them from has EE, BR, CQ, SF, SLW, WL, and BSL. I would like to get 2 of each but if my husband says no then maybe just 1 of each.

I did get the blueberry plant planted but not much else aside from digging up some worms for the girls.

Tomorrow I plan on getting seeds started inside the house and then plant more cool weather crops. Hopefully I can get my blackberry and blueberry plants put in the ground Friday.

Got to go see my mom and dad today. I gave my mom almost 8 dozen eggs because after I got my girls no one was interested in having fresh eggs. Oh well I can give them to my mom and dad and make pasta from them or sell them or give them to a food pantry
