Yes. Her eyes are a lot more bluish in person and a lot different than her mother's. He mother is a chocolate as well, but with chocolate eyes

I love this momma. Dora is a very special 'yard bird'. She broke her neck as a pullet and has a bad left eye (as do I), but she's a soldier. She and my Serama momma, Chika, are the best mothers on the yard. My turkey still doesn't understand why she hatched chickens, but she loves them anyway...

My bantam chickens would love to live off maggots. They destroy my compost pile and search them out. Fresh feed to the right, but would still rather tear my compost apart to eat the maggots. They also like fried/grilled/raw chicken....

@Bunnylady thank you so much. I was asking bc I am almost 100% positive that Thumper (being part Dutch) carries Vienna. He produces babies with 'almost vm' markings and beautiful eyes. Could he produce vm babies if bred to a vm doe?? How exactly do I test breed him?? Do I need another Dutch to...

11/12. Not a bad hatch!! She also finished hatching the 4 eggs that the turkey left on nest. She hatched 8/12. Not too bad, but Dora had to finish the job she started!! The australorps are all trying to go broody... you guys need to lay eggs, not sit on them. Pshhhh. Crazy black chickens
