I say maybe this time because of what Annie did to me...
However, my wonderful doe Seven, a nubain La'mancha cross,
who is due on Friday *and I know this this time because I witnessed the conception date* appears to be getting ready for labor.
Shes laying down a lot and humming. I never knew...
Because the goats had them :/ I hit them with the powder and the ivermec inject which fixed them up really good.
I treated the sheep with the powder only since im not sure what else to give them, and so far there not itching much.
Everyone is sheered down so I know that helped.
Also, the ear...
How can I tell which kind the sheep have? A scraping?
When I check them I dont see anything, every now and then they itch themselves, but apart from that they are really not doing anything drastic like the goats were.
Ok question, I have been using a powder to kill the lice and bugs like the vet said, however im not sure if its working or not.
Do you know if the powder is effective at all?
It was suggested to use Ivermec 1% on them like we do for the goats, do you know if Ivermecton 1% can be given to them...
I stayed up, the dang Coyotes were over at the house next door and yipping all night and from the sound of things they circled the property at a distance.
Trinity and Mara were right there barking! It was kinda neat, Mara kept racing around to all the sheep and barking while Trinity...
We have a coyote problem, and that's why we got Trinity and Mara.
I can hear the dogs barking, and the coyotes are on and off yipping...
Do i just go to bed? Or do I stay up with the gun?
Now that im finally in this situation, what do I do exactly? >_>
Sorry, coyotes make me very nervous and...
Annies poop appears to be returning to a pudding consistency rather then straight liquid. I think/hope thats a good thing, and it just means it was the de-wormer.
I kept getting mixed results, 1cc per 10 pounds, 45 pounds, 50 pounds, 75 pounds, 90 pounds, 100 pounds. I called my vet and they said to go with the 1cc per 100 pounds.
I think it varies from vet to vet, but what should I do about Annie?
Annie has been thin for a while now, we ran a fecal on all the goats and we found she had some worms.
Round worm, and lung worm. We de-wormed them with 1cc per 100 pounds of Ivermecton 1%, Annie was 102 pounds according to this chart: http://fiascofarm.com/goats/weight-chart.htm
so she only got...
Hey thanks for that!
It is hard to remember there only six months old when there SO BIG and yet so so good at the same time.
Mara appears to have turned around for the best and she listens very well now because of the intense work we had to put into her for a few months, so i am hoping the same...
Im not entirely sure its play either as she usually only plays with her sister, never the goats.
However, she is displaying the same play actions that she shows with her sister. paws on the back, mouthing along the spine or neck, and chasing.
She is usually fine all day until around milking...
Well, yesterday Trinity did it again.
Although this time she grabbed Annie by the neck and there was spit and ruffled hair.
I snarled for her to knock it off, and immediately Trinity did.
This time, we were herding the sheep and catching them one by one to administer lice and mite powder.
I...
I de-wormed every single goat including the kid since I heard him cough. No clue where this lung worm came from *I suspect the neighbor's goat next door* but hopefully I eradicated it.
Now I did not do the sheep because there eyelids look nice and pink and the breeders made a comment on breeding...
Alright, I did the fecal float and found two eggs, and what looked like a lung worm. I seriously hope not, but then again my husband made a comment that he thought he heard a goat cough.
Everyone has been given a shot, I searched online and found the weight chart, as well as info on how to do...
