As some of you may have read on my journal; we recently relocated the whole farm and my rabbit cage stands were old and falling apart, so we were in the process of making new ones and only had a couple built. The rest of the cages were still sitting on the ground. Well last week a rattlesnake...
Well my Ghiselle (my FF) gave birth Friday to two beautiful baby girls, but she got severe mastitis within 12 hours after her kidding. I'm treating her aggressively with a full 5 day round of penicillin and it's almost completely 100% gone now.
It was the WEIRDEST thing ever. (I milked her out...
Aww thank you! I am smitten with them! They seem so small compared to my other ones! :love Now I need to figure out what I am going to do with 12 goats and how am I going to feed them all. :th :lau
I always put my nestboxes in early. They like to get accustomed to them and hop in and out and they can build nests for a few days in advance. Plus it avoids any "oopsies forgot to put it in's".
And lastly, poor Joline. She didn't get pregnant so she hasn't been paid much attention to. :P  It was super nice out today so here she is soakin' up the rays.
I'll get better pics later. The little rascals wouldn't sit still for nothin'!!!
First baby girl: Brown Doeling (Need a name!)
Second baby girl: Aurora. She has some faint grey moonspots. More on her other side, but of course she wouldn't hold still. LOL.
I know I know, we're getting to her babies! But I had to show a pic of Camille. I love this goat. :love AND she's a spittin' image of her grandpa! Kastdemur's Time in a Bottle.
Ok finally got pics! Sorry to keep you all waiting. :) Yes catching up on my to do list, plus I'm still fighting this cold. :( We think my DBF cracked a rib too so I have been picking up all the slack while sick. :/ I think it's keeping me from getting better... been trying to rest in-between...
We recently lost our Mastiff and we would like to purchase an LGD pup, preferable female and preferably short-haired. Would like her to come from a working farm and be young (ie. less than a year old).
Please let me know if you know of anything available.
Thank you.
Goats are big-time wasters of food. (They don't like to eat the sticks- just the leaves of the alfalfa). Just put whatever leftover sticks from the organic hay you are feeding them into the shelter for them to lay on.
