Good evening everyone:frow
It's been a good afternoon.
Hit a milestone with my dog, Heidi. For ages, I have been teaching and correcting her horrible habit of chasing chicks, chickens, ducks and almost killing them. A few months back she almost bit my Ancona roosters head off, as well as my...
Well, my little bubba had her first heat a couple of weeks ago. I really really don’t want to get into the details about how she come about to the possibility of being pregnant. Long story short, somehow she got out one night with my full male dog.
I asked this on BYC, and aside from the...
Agree with @wishing4wings definitely a cockerel. As for the breed, I'm thinking it might be a silkie cross or a Bantam Cochin crossed with a silkie or something. Not too sure.
I might give it a shot then. If the 8-week olds stop acting bratty towards them.

I tried with a lot of effort to save it, but the little...
It sucks in a way, but I much prefer it to the blistering heat.
Do your chickens stop laying in the cold? I was hoping to set eggs yesterday, but I only found 6 chicken eggs, no turkey eggs, and no Quail eggs!
Good morning :frow
It was super cold last night, the water feels like dethawing Ice......looks like my 3-week old chicks won't be going out anytime soon.
