Were you able to convince your parents?
I love animals. My husband, meh. He takes a bit of convincing sometimes. What helps is "presenting" our findings to convince him. When my eldest wanted a dog, she wrote up a short paper on why we needed a dog. Now we have 2 dogs. :gig
Maybe use power...
I love those names!
I'm looking into getting goats again and I already have names picked out. When asked about their names I wanna be able to say, "Classified and Confidential" (aka Classy and Connie). hehe
Thinking back on it, there may have been another time when Rex went after Luke. From the corner of my eye I saw Luke run/trip into his water and almost fall on and squash Rex. After that, the bun stayed in his protected run for a few hours. Rex must've been aggravating him...
Just the male pig, though. He leaves Penny alone. Almost like he's protecting her from Luke. It's weird.
Yeah, I guess he'll stay in his hutch until we move and I can create something with more space.
We had a female rabbit and I bought this fella, a Rex (we call him Rex), with the idea that we'd get back into meat rabbits. Well, his lady friend got loose and our dog killed her (Grrrr!) so he's alone for now. We're in the process of buying a house/moving so after we get settled I'm planning...
Duck eggs are gone today and my boy Luke isn't interested in his morning breakfast soooo...maybe he found them? I'm a little worried about him. I've only had him a short time but I've never seen him turn his nose up at food. He just wanted me to pet him. Rolled onto his side and just wanted me...
Well today I noticed the pigs plowed up their straw to adjust their beds, I guess. Anyway, the 4 duck eggs were buried.
They don't mess with the current ducklings but they're not newborns, er, new-hatched, so the pigs don't try to eat them. I hadn't even thought about how they might try to eat...
I finally figured out that if I blend the broccoli and carrots, they'll eat it.
I've also wondered what they're rooting up to eat...though I have to say, our ducks LOVE following the two pigs and snatching up worms as the ground gets "tilled".
I have 2 KuneKunes, younger than 6 months. I add leftover greens to their "slop" and they ALWAYS pick around it. Gave them leftover lettuce yesterday (not moldy or wilty or anything like that, just some excess) and they left it in their dishes. Won't touch it. Tried giving them broccoli and they...
Husband and I are currently building a duck house for our Muscovies but until then, I've noticed one of our gals has made a nest in the pig shed, next to the indent of pig beds. So far, the two pigs (KuneKunes, if it makes any difference) either haven't noticed the 2 eggs, don't recognize the...
Oh, man. Luke is just fine with the feed bucket coming out but Penny comes screeeeeaming from the shed. To be fair, Luke knows how to climb the stairs to the top tier and she can't figure it out. I need to fix that issue before he accidentally falls off the edge or something.
I have been going...
