    1st batch of goat's feta a success!

Best feta I've ever had and I eat a lot of the stuff...I think the secret was using the whey and making that into the brine you store it in. So flavourul and smooth, and crumbled just right. Bonbean you should get some millk goats...I keep mine with my hairsheep and they seem to work together...

Halter that calf ASAP!!! I left my giant holstein bull calf too long now he's huge and skiddish...he'll come close but there is no way he's gonna let me get that halter on him without a fight. My husband thought he was going to play cowboy yesterday and thought he could just pin him in the...

    Remove wattles?

So glad you changed your mind :clap...I was so excited to see my ND buckling is growing his waddles. :celebrate In my area people advertise with waddles as a selling feature. I love them, so adorable and add more personality IMO...as if goats need MORE in the personality department. lol!

    Considering Replacing 1 goat....

You should hear my Nubian goat that I am milking for hours in the morning and hours in the evening before she gets milked she is screaming at me and she is right outside my living room window. That's goats for you...so much personality but they will demand attention.

Impressed Again! I love my Pyrs, can't wait for puppies!

I would totally be willing to work / adjust the price for the right situation. I decided to have a litter because there was no one in the area that had WORKING LGDs...all of them were ckc show dogs or pet litters and there are not a lot of good options for properly started, proven LGDs. I was...

Updated PICS !!! Newfie/St Bernard Pup is HUGE

INTRODUCING CAPTAIN MAXIMUS!!! aka Max. He's the sweetest thing and his tail starts wagging as soon as he hears the kids. I guess the breeders had 3 kids about the same age so he feels most at home with them and doesn't seem to mind them hauling him around and loving on him constantly. This...

Impressed Again! I love my Pyrs, can't wait for puppies!

So today I let my Pyrs into the pasture with my cow and calf after getting used to eachother through the fence over the past couple months. They have been in before but I wanted to seperate the Pyrs as our female is due to welp at the end of the week and I wanted to give her a safe cozy place to...

    Holstein turning colour?

I have a big holstein bull calf who is has turned a medium brown (think milk chocolate colour). My Jersey cow loves him and licks him all the time and they are in the pasture full time so I am guessing he is fading in the sun? Anyone had anything like this before? They do have a cattle...

Updated PICS !!! Newfie/St Bernard Pup is HUGE

Well for those of you following my farm dog search I have decided to get what I really want with a puppy. Okay... I'm going insane and need support.

Strange...I had something similar once with my new dairy cow and calf...I was running around the 1 acre pen and seriously could not find a full sized jersey cow! She had made her way into the back end where there was tall weeds and was having a little snooze. I literally could not find her but...

Rescue Dog - What to do?

We are definitely open to helping out a dog that needs a break...my Male Pyr that Southern mentioned had been rehomed 3 times before me and was chained most of the time because he was a roamer/runner. We worked with him and spent a LOT of money on really good fencing and he has been a fantastic...

Well thanks guys, I really appreciate the support from people I respect. I am learning to be faithful to that little nagging voice that is telling you things are not okay but it sure helps when you have experienced input from others. Thank you. :hugs A couple of things happened today that...
