Thanks guys! :D
I took your advice and used some corn starch, and it looks SO much better. Not completely perfect, so I may have to do it again, but it looks MUCH better than it did before. Now I don't think people will whisper and say "what the heck did she bring that scruffy thing for?" hehe...
Thanks for the ideas, I will try the cornstarch, and if that doesn't work then perhaps I'll have to use a bit of bunny shampoo just on those areas.
I think that I'd be safe to shampoo him a week before the show. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to compete. Now, if I were putting something on him...
I am in LOVE with those little ones!! :love
You are right, it seems like they are a fairly rare breed! It took me quite awhile to actually find some Tan breeders in my area (I live in Michigan) and then, to find ones that actually had stock available. The show that I am going to doesn't have...
I'll check there tomorrow. I'm really REALLY hoping that something like this will work. Would literally dipping his hindquarters in water and scrubbing gently help, or would that harm his fur? I'd like to obviously remove the pee, but also keep the fur nice and soft. Doubt I'll be able to have...
Hilarious, huh? Unfortunately, her description of it is 100% accurate. It IS a sticky, wet mess, and it's beginning to smell something awful! Maybe I will try getting some of those puppy/kitty wet wipes tomorrow. Hopefully it won't hurt him, or his fur.
*Sigh* Males!
I've really gotta figure something out pretty quick here. I doubt the judges would be too pleased with a "peepee stickyfur"(as my mother so graciously put it) on him.
I recently acquired 3 Tans, two does and a buck. The buck is absolutely gorgeous, and I am really looking forward to showing him next Saturday, but I'm concerned about a spot on his whole right hip. It would appear that somehow(I have no idea how he managed to do this) he got urine all over...
Yep, all 3 of mine have legible tattoos in their left ear, and my husband and I actually made a quite nice travel cage for the buns, complete with wire on the bottom so that they won't get any stains on their fur. I've been grooming them each day just by spraying them with a bit of water, then...
Thank you so much for the information on the double show! I have really been going crazy trying to find out what exactly that meant, since many of the shows that I am interested in attending are double shows. You're right, it does make it more worthwhile to have two shows in one day, I never...
Hello everyone!
I'll be heading to my first rabbit show on September 17th, and I am truly excited. However, I have a few questions that I can't seem to find the answers via any sort of search engine, though I've definitely tried!
I just recently got my first trio of rabbits. I decided on Tans...
