Pastor Dave I read a post where you stated you feed your fryers a different diet than what you feed your does could you pls tell me what you feed them?
I put an ad on Craigslist yesterday looking for a nz buck, I got a reply about the 6 month old nz red buck & when I woke up this afternoon (I wk nights) I had another reply from a fella that has a 4 month old A&M white nz so I'm debating between the 2. After all the feedback on here I'm...
I've been looking for a nzw buck but I haven't had any luck in finding one, I have found a few nz red & broken red bucks that are supposed to be pedigreed. Do you think the nz red buck would be as good as a nzw for breeding meat rabbits?
She's the friendliest rabbit I've ever had... it kinda made me nervous right at 1st cause she's so curious & interactive that I thought she was aggressive until I got to know her
I bought a hanging set of cages & the doe came with it... I'm unsure of what she is, I was told she's 1/2 flemish & 1/2 nz I'm curious what does everyone else think?
I agree as long as I'm not trying to breed a flemish to a dutch or something like that I think I'll be alright but it's certainly something to take into consideration. I know I can't be sure which genetics will be transmitted to the next generation as you said in a previous post but the kits...
I was kinda thinkn with my buck bein 3/4 nz & 1/4 flemish depending on the characteristics of the buck I chose to keep outa the litter I could essentially get an offspring outa my 1/2nz-1/2cali does that wd possibly grow bigger & faster than my original nz-cali cross like you said bunnylady but...
I have 3 young cali/nz cross does & I've recently aquired a 1/2 nz 1/2 flemish doe that I bred to a nz buck. My question is do you think if I keep a buck out of her litter making him 3/4 nz 1/4 flemish & breed him to my 3 young does do I stand to gain anything as apposed to just breeding them...
I have a nz/cali buck & a nz/cali doe both are really nice rabbits my buck took on the cali look & build where my doe looks like a pure nz & she's an excellent momma she had 9 in her first litter & they're all fat & healthy..... I think it's a very good meat cross
The buck that sprayed me didn't spray his previous owner either but apparently he wasn't to fond of me & seen fit to let it fly in my direction.... you're not the only one who found humor in the situation, all my buddies at wk thought it was hilarious
I have an air conditioned room in my shop I can put the doe in but I'll have to rig up a way to catch droppings & urine. Would it hurt her to go from the outside heat into the air conditioned room?
