I'm thinking of breeding during the summer, I have my buns outside & they're very well shaded I understand there's an issue with overheating in general but are there any problems with breeding or fertility as a result of the heat?

I have 16 kits that are 3-3 1/2 wks old & they're starting to eat pellets & hay I have a lady that wants to buy 4 as quick as I can get them to her what would be a suitable age to wean the 4 kits?

I was surprised at the size of the rabbit liver it was pretty big, I guess I never really pd attention before

It totally grossed my wife out for some reason but it was worth it lol

Oh yeah they were awsome

I just processed 5 buns & I saved the liver, heart, & kidneys from them. I was wondering if they're good to eat does anyone know?

Update: I've ended up with 4 does & 2 bucks. 3 new zealand does & a flemish cross doe. 1 buck is new zealand the other is a californian. I have processed 7 buns so far & have 17 new babies born this week & I'm very pleased with the way things have been going thanks to all the wonderful advice...

Update: I got rid of the agressive doe after I weaned her kits & replaced her with another doe that has just kindled & it was a much more enjoyable experience not having to worry about having a chunk taken out of you while checking the kits..... I appreciate all the advice but I just couldn't...

Please let me know if not using the salt makes a difference I'm very interested in the difference since you normally use it

That's prob what I'll do I know a lady that breeds californians & black new zealands I could get another buck & a doe. By the way you said you brine your meat overnight what do you use for brine?

I have no idea I'm just excited that there are ppl in the world that are as passionate about their animals as I am. I love watching new life develop into what GOD created it to be. Just gets me fired up lol

I think I'm going with new zealands after seeing his breeding stock. I was impressed but that's not saying much since all I've had were meat mutts. They were big & beautiful compared to my lil scrubs lol. How many does can 1 buck service I don't wanna over use him

Well I put my doe in with a different buck this weekend & everything went great she lifted & he fell off several times I'm confident she's bred & I don't have to get rid of my doe I'm happy

He definitely got my attention that's for sure

I've traded some hens & chicks I have for a couple of NZ does & a cali buck I'm supposed to pick them up friday. I'm super excited
