Early spaying and neutering has been linked to severe joint disorders because estrogen is used to help close growth plates. We don't even consider spaying or neutering until at least 5 years of age. Anja is 7 and is intact. Jake was neutered last year at 6 years old.
I'm not on the diet anymore but I stick to mostly protein, fruits and veggies. I eat rice and red potatoes here and there. I did the diet as an elimination diet because I had a lot of aches and pains and I had no energy after having my kids.
@Bruce We generally have winter and summer, not much of a spring or fall. Last winter was nuts while this winter we've had two separate days of a little snow. Usually winter hits in November but it's been so warm. This week is supposed to be in the mid-60s. We broke heat records last week.

I'm currently gluten free and no russet potatoes. I did the Whole30 and found that both made me feel awful when I reintroduced them to my diet. Oddly enough I can still eat red potatoes and sweet potatoes.
