We have 3 bell pepper plants that Joyce "overwintered" in her vegetable spot....she had to pick some today to get weight of them off the plant...the recent downpours had them to the ground.... .....the 27 tomatoes all have blooms on tbem and almost as tall as the hog panels they are tied...

It is always nice when things work as they should....lord knows we never forget tbe times they don't..... :lol: :thumbsup

We have had 3 days of cooler temps with light showers at the beginning for a half inch of rain all day....much cooler winds...and no sun.....damp, cool, and windy will make any to seek "shelter"..... :lol: .....my phone has been messing up, is why I've been "spit-sparse"....here...

I wouldn't count them out....the blooms not being open just might have been enough to insulate most of them....probably would've been worse for them to have opened and the tender parts being exposed to the temps....ours are open here....most of ours are under the giant oaks, so a direct frost is...

I really appreciate the very kind thought and gesture....truly, I do....however, there are many reasons for our decision of embracing the "status quo" and it is highly doubtful that it will change....we just know that getting started with anything more than plants is not what either of us have...

I believe I saw one in the backyard here, but only got a very short glimpse of it bounding into the brush by the boat.....there are Florida panthers around in the area also....there isn't any doubt what Gabbie would do, but we stay alert in attempts to avoid any confrontation like...

There is nice areas between Dyersburg and Reelfoot....it is along the TN/KY line close to the river....and not far from Kentucky Lake area....I would stay above Covington if fishing the Mississippi River, just sayin..... ;)

Alot depends on the number of hrs of freezing or below temps it has to endure.....if it is more than a few hrs, ya can spray it with water to insulate the blooms because it will insulate them from the severe cold....ours look like yours....loaded with blooms...and it is just the way the loquat...
