Hmm, I don't have any alfalfa. What's the protein % on your rabbit feed? I'm giving her an 18% protein feed. Do you think that's enough? I can pick fresh clover too, but she normally gets all sorts of greens/leaves/etc and grass hay in addition to her pellets.
I was so excited! She didn't bat an eye when I handled them, but she did growl a bit when I tried to pet her. :P I'll keep handling to a minimum for the first couple days. :D
And you know what else? People like her seriously piss me off. She acts like the only way he wins at shows is because of a magical unicorn fart feed concoction? Bullcrap. I bet the man works his hiney off culling and striving to breed better and better animals. You can't take a crap animal...
Tell her to kiss it. If she brings up the contract throw it back in her face that she did not provide a rideable horse for you. She has no right to say what buck you can use. I'd rather buy does from this guy anyways, especially if he has the better goats. If she ever calls in the future tell...
Is Coco able to stand or move at all? If Cornell is able to snip the tendons, will he have use of his front legs? If snipping the tendons won't give him mobility, and amputation certainly won't (without a wheelchair), then I honestly think the best thing to do would be to have him put down...
Using a stream isn't a good way to water your animals. YOu don't know what's going on upstream, and you sure don't want your animals polluting the stream for those people downstream. Plus, they walk all around the edges which speeds up erosion (sediment is a major problem). The...
I usually just handwash things and every other day (or whenever there's room) put them in the DW. And I don't think I'd like to make yogurt w/ raw milk, since I really want the "good" bacteria to do the work adn flavor the yogurt. I worry that if there happened to be any "bad" bacteria in...
:D My first meat rabbit litter was born last night/this morning! My NZ white doe had 12 healthy babies. I'm shocked, because she's a first timer! They all seem to be doing really well. Is there anything (besides extra food) that I need to be doing to help her raise this big litter? Will...
Some horses are hard keepers. There was a TB mare at my college farm (where I worked) and NOTHING would put weight on her. We tried everything. We had her scoped for ulcers and everything. She was just a hard keeper. Didn't look too much different than your guy, actually. :)
