I know this is a year old....
Had some prep for winter concerns. I live in the Pacific Northwest....very wet and sometimes very cold. Is there a need to wrap or cover the hive?
@frustratedearthmother yep, can see the diff clearly. Thanks for the pic! Well we will sell the piglet's after farrow and prob mom too. We really didn't want a PB, even though she is cute
Yes soak the beet pulp before feeding....uptake is much easier on the goat.
We have been putting weight on our goats with black oil sunflower seeds, Timothy hay pellets, and good old vegetable oil to coat everything.
She is pretty small, maybe 90 pounds, maybe 16ish inches tall and about 30 or so inches long. Very rough guess as she doesnt like to b pet...timid girl.
Well that clears up a lot. The daddy is our other pig....who we were told is kune kune. He would be the big spotted in the left, under the pile.
We were told they were about 6 or 7 months when we bought them, make them about 9 now if seller was correct. He is super sweet and loves belly scratches.
Yes I was wondering that about 2 weeks ago. She is def pregnant! Nipples r starting to fill. I have no experience with this at all. Have been doing a lot of reading. Making her own pen this week, hope its done in time.
She doesnt like to be touched so I don't know how to check her nipples. Not...
Hi again. Update on condition...sorry took so long.
Vet came out, verified spots were ring worm. She has recovered well and hair growing back in. I did use the fungal spray u guys rec, worked great!
Thanks again for the help
Alicia.
Hello all. Have gotten into pigs. When we purchased this gurl, we were told she was an AGH, husband thinks she is pot belly.
Can anyone help with a breed id?
Thanks!
Alicia
@Baymule I've never heard of rain rot... I will def get some fungal treatment! We have rain in the forecast again...
@Latestarter thank u! I'm very happy with her!
Nothing diff today. Applied more salve, she hates the smell. Lol
