She hasn't had a CDT since she was a baby and she's three now. Guessing I should vax everyone really. Have never checked ligaments myself but did a lot of reading and watched videos of births.
Should I leave her with the herd until she delivers or move her when we see discharge? She is nust SO...
Lol. Yep I'm afraid so. Any idea what signs I need to watch for to bring her to her own birthing suite? :/ We are setting up a room and fenced yard for her today.
Ok noticed Lil has what I think is an udder with milk? It used to be flat but now is plumping up. I'm assuming this means I've been lying to myself all this time and she is indeed knocked up. Randy little baby billies. Grrrr...... Lesson learned.
Attaching as many pics as I can for opinions...
Thanks everyone. By this morning he couldn't move any part of his body and would just cry real quiet once in a while. His temp was down to 95 by the time we got to the vet and that was wrapped in warm blankets in hubbys lap with the heater going.
He doesn't know what the diagnosis is, said...
Headed to the vet in three hours. We've been up with Schmoo several times tonight. The more I read about m-worm the more convinced I am that's what is wrong. When I just went in he had his head turned far to the right and can't seem to straighten it out. I realized he hasn't passed any droppings...
Thanks. :) we are in Middle TN. Lots of deer here but I never see signs of them in the pasture. Certainly doesn't mean they aren't there. Will call vet in morning. Is the gel an OTC or something from the vet?
That's what hubby keeps thinking too. He says he may have taken too many shots to the head. I hope that's not it. :(
Tomorrow we are creating them a yard and house just for them right off my office so they will be close. We can run some heat lamps and suspend them with metal chains. Hoping time...
I'll start checking temp. He's under my desk in front of a heater and is more relaxed.
Daughter took him to vet so I'm not sure what all was checked, other than she said bloodwork, xrays and fecal. I'm sure he listened to the heart but not sure if he listened a while or did more th an a quick...
Schmoo is the 6 month old I was afraid had pneumonia but the vet said he was just depressed from being bullied. He's still inside but seems to be getting worse. He doesn't pace like he did but he still doesn't seem well and he falls once in a while and can't get up; just lays there crying. He...
We are in the process of building a larger 10 stall barn attached to our garage on one end and the peafowl and storage barn on the other. We want to find not only trail cams for the pastures, but also cameras for inside all of the barns.
We want something we can check on our cells if we aren't...
Ok so one of the 6 month old goat kids is inside and Bo has picked up on eating hay from him. Bo is almost 6 months old and still barely eats much hay. He will eat pellets all day long but barely nibbles hay. At what point should I start to worry? I was hoping to put him out back in the next...
Vet says he is healthy, he's just being picked on and is depressed! Lungs are clear, nothing broken. Said he has some barber pole but very low count. He gave him a dose of dewormer to be on the safe side. He has bruises and maybe a slight concussion from Jeb. Needless to say Jeb is getting...
She said he spent all day pacing the pasture too and the billy was in a different pasture then.
He's always been chubby. All of our goats are. Gums are a little pale but not alarmingly. My concern is the boddy temp at 99.1 which is why I put the heat on. It's probably up to 75 in the bathroom...
Our bathroom is all tile and pretty big. We have a 4' x 8' tile shower. I could put him in there with the heater if you think it would be better? Also wonder if the nonstop pacing is him trying to keep body temp up?
Hes about six months. Was the runt of triplets and mom rejected him. A friend brought him to us when he was a couple weeks old and we bottle fed him until weaned.
He's always seemed frail compared to the others. Never did goat parkour, as I call it. But he seemed ok. He and two others his age...
