My Nubian boar doe is about 3 weeks old and her name is Rosie. We recently took Rosie to the vet, because she was coughing and her nose was runny. When we got there, she was diagnosed with a severe case of bronchitic pneumonia, due to fluids in the lungs. I started blaming myself for not bottle...
We have a plastic wall type thing separating the does from the buck. The last time she was bred successfully (without fighting him) was early December. We didn't think she would be pregnant because she wouldve given birth by early January.
Help! We just went outside and found these two baby bunnies lying on the floor in her cage. We didn't even know she was pregnant! How do I find out if they're alive or not? How am I supposed to take care of them ifthey are alive? Help!
Now, I'm not a goat expert or anything, and I am SO sorry about what's happening to your goat. Maybe try holding a treat in your hand in front of him, just above his nose. So he can smell it, but he'll have to get up to get it? Have you tried what Goat Whisperer suggested? Have you tried massaging?
My 1 1/2 year old pygmy/Nigerian dwarf nanny. We think she's pregnant but we're not sure. If she is, she'd be due in March. We wouldn't want to go outside one day and find dead baby goat(s) because we weren't sure whether or not she was preggo. Her stomach is tight, and hard. But her udders...
She's drinking about two on average. I'm feeding her about 5 times a day, 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, and 11pm. She does munch on hay a little bit sometimes as well. Do you think I should introduce pellet food? Is that why she's not drinking much?
The goat is about 2 weeks, and shes a Nubian/boar. We also use Pritchard. There should be a picture attached.
I try to wiggle the bottle, and sometimes I bounce her on my lap a little bit. She'll start sucking, maybe once or twice, then she stops and closes her eyes. And she's asleep again.
Help! My baby goat keeps falling asleep when I go to feed her. Then the bottle leaks everywhere and I don't know if shes eating anything at all. Or just making a mess. Tips?
Thank you guys! We were told that she was being bottle feed, but it was obvious it was her first time. To answer your questions, we're feeding her a goat powder formula that you mix with water. There should be a picture of the nipple attached. Do you have any idea why she was grinding her...
I have a new baby goat, she's a board/Nubian cross, and she's about two weeks old. (Her name's Rosetta) I tried bottle feeding her for the first time, (I know it doesn't always work the first the first time) and she would only take it from the side of her mouth. She wouldn't suck it, just chew...
