Do you have any pictures of them? They might be thin just because they are growing so much. I'm trying to find pictures of mine when they were 2 months old.

    Bottle calf update and questions

We got our Jerseys when they were to weeks old and how I halter trained my heifer and steer is I got a rope halter since they grow so fast I didn't waste money on a nice halter until they were bigger. I straddled them so they couldn't move that well, put the halter on, and I first just let them...

    About that "cute" little bull....

It's a bull and it's doing what a bull does. In my opinion, they left him intact so they deserve it and hopefully they learned from it but I doubt it. Hopefully others are paying attention to this story and cutting their Bulls but some people are rather idiots or ignorant and don't think it'll...

To cut or not to cut bull calves and when?

I had my bull done as soon as he dropped but he is a Jersey and there's no way I was going to keep him intact with him being around my kids, we also de horned him the same day. He was cut and had a tetanus and antibiotic shot, he was upset for a couple days but healed nicely. He's 2 yrs old now...

How close do you think my heifer is to calving?

I'm not sure exactly what kind of bull she is bred to, I know it's a jersey bull but she was artificially done at the farm we got her at so she will have a higher chance of having a heifer.

I would increase the creep, I fed a calf starter grain with no issues with my calves. Also, you can train them to drink from a bucket, the farm I got our calves from...

How close do you think my heifer is to calving?

This is Daisy, our Jersey Heifer. She'll be 2 yrs. old September, 4th and her due date is August 19th. We have been on baby watch this past week, her body has been teasing us which makes these last days seem extremely long. Yesterday, I noticed her pin bones were more relaxed, she had a lot of...
