So here are all my equines,
Paint Magic
Pony Sasha
Mules, Joker and Canya
And Minis, Chyrstal, Money, DJ, and Skip!
I also own a spotted standard jack, but he's been living w/ someone else for the last year or so. And there are other horses I may talk about as if they are mine, but they really...
So looks like I'm going to have to be up for atleast two more hours, so to pass the time I've desided to come here and post pics! I have way to many animals, so figure I should be showing them off!
First is my 3 dogs, I put the names on the pics, but in case you can't see it, this is Havoc...
I don't have a problem rubbing my steers head. Since this is going to be a pet I'd work on problem areas, I'd mess w/ his head alot to desensitize him til he tolerates it. I think it's instint, seems like most don't like having their heads messed w/ at first, I had to get Drama over it to.
Make sure you are truely commited to the responsiblity of a bottle baby, depending on how young you get one, you need to be prepared for 3 months of bottles.
Here is my bottle feeding schedule (aprrox. it can vary by kids)
1-2 weeks five bottles a day 4 hours apart
2-5 or 6 weeks, four bottles...
The most common reason for a bottle baby to end up at the auction is because many people just don't want to take the time to raise them or find them private homes. Most will be dairy bucklings.
Unfortunately there are alot of bugs they pick up at the auctions, a kid that was healthy before...
Sorry thewife, I think she is very happy here, and doesn't want to leave.
Her name is Drama, I should have taken my camera w/ me today, it's really funny to see, and she's knows which one is "her" goat! Although I've seen her check the other black doe a few times, who quickly puts herself on...
Yes, I'm thinking they are just his polled bumps. I've got two polled does, both have bumps they are normal. I had one polled kid this year, he didn't start getting his til 1-2 months, and they did start kind of pointy feeling, but quickly turned to normal polled bumps. (mine are nigerian dwarfs)
We've made it 3 weeks! (3 1/2 now) So thought it was time for new pics! First pic is 2 weeks. I really don't see alot of changes in her right now, I'm sure she's getting bigger, I can see it especially when I look from above, her neck is thicker, but I thought I could look back at earlier pics...
I thought you were just looking at bottle babies, didn't know you wanted a specific breed. Pygmies aren't milk goats, so goat dairies won't have them. I'd keep an eye on craigslist, and possibly post a wanted ad. Pygmies are pretty plentiful so I'm sure you'll find one (although be sure you are...
I'd find the closest goat dairy I could and buy from them, they are usually fairly cheap and they haven't been exposed to the bad things auctions goats may have.
I was also thinking we were talking about a miniature! I was thinking that already, but seeing the pic I was still thinking that, does the pic not look like one of the minis?
