If you have time I prefer hand feeding because they well get bigger then if you free choice. Because with free choice there's feed around all the time so eating a lot is not important to the pigs,but with hand feeding they well be want feed and well eat all the feed and more trying to eat there...

And start by mixing up a electrolyte solution and mixing it with feed to make a wet mash then giving the pig that. To hydrate and feed at same time. Did the pig get its iron shot or have access to iron in ground

I dont know how many times my mom had to take time off work to before I could drive to take my to the Ag. Dept at odd times and wake up at 6am on her days off so I could feed my stock and making sure my FFA uniform stayed clean at fairs by going home to wash and iron them...

In my experience pigs well and love to rub and bite fences and it takes a strong fence to keep them in and they make holes ever where. I dont Pasture raise mine so im not sure about if they respect hot wire or not
