I just watched a bunch of videos about canning cornbread, buttermilk biscuits, butter, cheese...... Those rebel canners are wild (& now I wanna try it)

It gets bigger every year

Planting & weeding, feeding & birthing & milking, hatching & fledging, canning & freezing...... none of it is much fun alone. Do you suppose that a couple of generations ago most of it really was done in community? If not with neighbors, then large families working together?

I'd LOVE your bean canning recipes if you'd care to share.

@farmerjan , @Mini Horses I hope this rain isn't going to make parking an issue on Sat. The last time I attended I was driving a great big 4WD truck & still nearly got stuck. Looks like they're going to start letting vendors claim spots all ready.

I sure hope not. I've canceled out of other things to be sure I can come to the swap. Nothing is official until it's posted & I feel like they'd probably give me the same notice of a couple of weeks as they did before.

Well I completely vanished for a bit! I think that I posted that i had a cold & have been working sick? Anyhow, I got home Fri AM & went to bed. I had an alarm set for 2:00pm because my hay guy was coming. Got out there to meet him & chatted for a while. Blossom is doing great by the way...

I'm sorry that it didn't work out but you certainly made the best decision. The safety of those precious Grands is top priority & a horse that you can all enjoy together will be such a joy. Are you going to look for another?

😢 not getting days anytime soon. New plant mgr came by this AM & said that there wasn't anyone to replace me on THIS shift, so he can't let me move to either of the day shift positions. I'll keep watching & submitting forms as spaces come open. 😭

Came home Mon AM feeling a little puny. Took some cold medicine & went to bed. Pretty much slept until Tues AM around 8. That's when I went out to check on Eva & let the chickens out.... but.... no EVA!!! Some branches had dropped the fence. I called, whistled, shook feed... nope. Got dressed...
