Thank-you for the information. It is very helpful.
As for how I got a Shiba Inu, I was researching dog breeds and came across them. They intrigued me, and so ....I now have a male, 6 year old. I have had him since he was 7 weeks old. He is everything they said except for his epilepsy (which is...
Thank-you! Great advice! I mainly want them for pets and lawn patrol. I was hoping to maybe try dairy as a calf would be too much for our pasture with two horses on it already. I was planning on trying dairy goats next year after settling my chicks and fainting goats in. A friend is breeding...
Thank-you! How do you deal with your Shibas? Mine is Houdini in fur;) My favorite dog ever, but it has been challenging with the other animals. He is fine with the cats and horses. Not great with other dogs on our property. Not sure how he will respond to the goats. Hoping when the chicks are...
Are the Nigerians friendly also? I will try craigslist. Hopefully there are some available near Omaha. Thank-you, for your help.:)
Do you know how to just post pics or do they need to be included in a post?

Is there an article or post on how to train them? For example teach them their name? I've been told that isn't possible with goats, but would like to prove the exception to the rule;)
Thank-you! You're right about needing a friend for her. The breeder thought his other doe was pregnant and I told him I wanted both because I didn't want her alone. 5 weeks later no second kid.:( I would like either a katahdin or dairy goat, preferably one I could raise to be her friend. I am...
I have a Shiba Inu, would love to get a an LGD, but am concerned about the Shiba's acceptance. I also read in a previous post that the pup will mimic the older dog's behavior. That would defeat the purpose as I have to keep the chicks/rabbits away from him. Any suggestions?
