Wed. Been a couple of okay days, but don't seem to be accomplishing much.
Monday I went back to the barn around noon... DS was working on some braces on the next fence over... and so I got the hammer and a bunch of staples in the box.... and headed down the hill to pick up where I left off the...
Sunday evening. Been a nice enough day overall. Mostly sunny and very little breeze so comfortable. Recording thermometer says 73 but that is in direct sun...
Unfortunately, the headaches are often on the right side where I had all the head trauma from the accident back in 1989.... I am sure...
Is this her normal reaction? Maybe time to keep the lambs and ship her off once they are weaned.... Especially if she is having such a hissy fit over taking HER OWN SET of Lambs... NOT like you are fostering one over on her... yeah, hoping the "milk through the lamb so manure smells right" will...
Be careful and have a safe trip. It is past time for her to grow up and have a life... not let momma and daddy be her constant fall back on plan.
YOU both need a break from "always being there"... have quieter and more peaceful prime years, without all the noise and stress and drama...
Compare her teeth to the other ewes you have... That will give you a good idea of what different mouths look like. The one big tooth seems alot bigger than the others... the thing is, if she gets another one right next to it then she is definitely younger than anyone thought.
Nothing short of 2 Joules should be used for sheep or goats. The electric netting needs more joules than a single strand due to the number of tiny wires and the resistance of the plastic that makes up the netting.
The whole "will charge 20 miles" thing is perfectly clean, perfectly stretched...
First off, congrats on getting and properly taking care of and feeding the sheep. She looked severely malnourished in the first picture.
Yes, teeth are the best way to get a "handle" on ages... although some areas they may wear more quickly due to type of grasses etc.... if anything, you will...
Oh, also about the cow manure splatters. When the cows are coming in and going out the parlor... they "have to" do manure it seems. When the protein levels are high, it is much looser than when not... and it hits the concrete floors and naturally splatters everywhere. The pit where we stand...
Saturday eve. It was a very nice day out. 40 to start, up to 77 in the sun... Next to no wind so quite nice. Too bad I still had that "half-a$$ed " headache which translated into not feeling like doing alot.
I did get the big load of socks that had been soaking, run through and hung out...
Dumped the rain gauge earlier... We had barely 1.2 inches... first measurable rain in 45 days which is UNHEARD of in this area. It soaked in pretty good... The sun was trying to come out a little, inbetween clouds when I left to go to work.
Got everything in the car, changed the rest of the...
Sooooo Sorry you were so sick with the ??? virus. Between a headache and a sore throat it can practically kill you...
Reaction to something in the house??? Maybe time to seriously think about alternative living accommodations in the future. I am thinking that there are things that are...
Variation on that joke.... father wrote to son in prison that he wasn't able to dig the field to plant this years potatoes... son wrote back and said, don't dig in the that field, that is where I buried the money from the bank job.... a week later the father wrote and said that a whole bunch of...
Up to 40 degrees. Might hit low 50's today. Cloudy and foggy... Supposed to be mostly cloudy all day, but very breezy. We'll see...
We had a bit over an inch of rain... glanced at the rain gauge, looked like it was 1.1 or maybe 1.2.... Will look closer and dump when I go back out. It is getting...
My Farmall H has a steel seat and it is actually fairly comfortable. There is plenty of room AND it is shaped for a BUTT... not flat... it also is on a spring so has some give/movement for uneven ground... I have enough padding for that seat too :lol::gig:gig:gig.
Saw them used for seats...
Thursday night.... CHILLY .....WET .... day. Started at 34... only got up to 40... Cloudy early... Rain started at about 8, and it has rained all day. Not real hard although we had a couple of good solid periods of actual raining... but it was a lighter rain and showery type all day long...
Wed night. Had a good and fairly productive day.
CHILLY CHILLY temps this morning... 31 to start; recording thermometer shows it got up to 58 during the day and temps are back to 40 now at 8 pm. Mostly sunny today so it was pretty comfortable.
Got most of the leaves and grass bagged...
