Every rabbit rescue I seen makes this statement, as if rabbits were not originally animals that lived outside . . .
I run my own small rescue, most of my rabbits come from craigslist . . .
ALL my rabbits live outside in hutches, they get ground time everyday(well most days).

I have my "pet" rescue rabbits that I do not want to breed(but they do find a way ;) ), and I have my "meat" rabbits . . .
Everything Ive read says there is no "heat" for rabbits . . .
However, a 4h lady recently told me(I had "uninterested" doe also) to wait for her "girl parts" look really...
So I got this rabbit as a rescue off CL about a month or so ago . . .

Alas, the growlin female found a great home with a nice lady who she immediatley "took to".

I just locked the freeranger in the tractor, and let the male out of his hutch.
