I dug out all of the sweet potatoes today and took them to the daughter in law when I took the youngest granddaughter home. She seemed excited to have fresh sweet potatoes.

I haven't done anything with it yet because I'm stressing about who will take care of the animals when my husband and I go to Boomtown for our Anniversary. 39 years as of the 29th of October. I have also asked my mom to go with us because she needs a break from being home without my dad.

I would if it wasn't for the fact that she lives close to 70 miles south of me. I know if I went down there and just said" come on with me and I'll bring you home after we get done ", but it's a lot to do in a day. She also has dogs and doesn't like leaving them with the people that she moved in...

I'm positive my jelly failed. Not even syrup I think. It's more tart now than before I cooked it. Oh well, I'm only human so it's a live and learn experience.

Oh yes. My mom had a jelly failure and my kids and I went through that syrup in about 2 weeks. 4 people are about 2 or more quarts of syrup

I haven't been on in a while but I have been really busy. I'm working on making some pomegranate jelly. I haven't ever canned anything in my life. I'm so concerned that I am going to mess it up. I also got about 40 lbs of pomegranates.

Last year was awesome for peppers but this year I have had the worst garden ever except for the fact that I now have a small strawberry patch.

I went out and turned the water on to the garden. I'm really bummed though because I haven't gotten any peppers at all this year. Last year I was overwhelmed with peppers, zucchini, yellow squash and tomatoes. This year I have gotten tomatoes, yellow squash, green beans and a couple of cushaw...

It was just a little garden snake but after almost being bit in the face by a snake when I was a little girl. NO THANK YOU!! The spider didn't bother me except for startling but I decided that was the spiders home and as long as it doesn't come into my home I won't be in his/hers.

I'm a regular at Dollar General so I can pretty much talk to anyone that works there and they will probably say sure because they don't like having the cardboard hanging around.

Here Walmart wants to break down all the boxes and toss them in a bin for removal. I know that Dollar General doesn't care if I take the boxes as long as I ask.

I have been getting a little bit of cardboard here and there. I'm going to go to the Dollar General right down the road and ask if I can take their boxes. Granted I will have to remove the tape and staples if any are on it but it will be worth the time.
