    Can We Have Goats??

I would contact your local zoning officer and ask him. I am in western NY and live in an area zoned agriculture/residential. This means I can have as many livestock as I want without hassle. I believe the right to farm thing is more about legalities with lawsuits and such, but i don't know much...

Road trip to pick up a new buck

He is home. We are in western NY and drove through 5 hours of near whiteout conditions to get home. He was worth it though, he is even better looking in person. I plan on breeding him to these two girls in the future.

what type of goats do you like and what kinds do you have???

I have a couple bucks of both kinds I mentioned (fainters, nigerians) and i can honestly say that 1 fainter stinks more than the other and the same goes for the nigerians, although of my herd the nigerians smell less. My bucks are great...

what type of goats do you like and what kinds do you have???

I have nigerians and fainting goats. I honestly love both. The nigerians are lighter but also faster and jump higher. The fainters are slower and don't jump much at all but weigh a lot more. I have bucks, does and wethers of both and none of mine are aggressive, even in rut. If you spend time...

    Pygmy Goat??

If he was a purebred fainter he would most likely faint. At the least when startled or excited would get stiff back legs. I have 6 fainter and everyone faints, some more than others, but i have seen everyone go down. They all go stiff legged extremely easy and you would at least notice that.

Here are my goats - do you know what they are?

I have nigerians and i am thinking they are pygmys. Most people disbud nigerians but leave the horns on a pygmy which may be another clue.
