That is wonderful that he is ok. I would do the full course of antibiotics to make sure it all stays away. With what vets charge around here, $200 isn't a bad price. I would have definitely paid that.
Give him Probios daily (10g). Check his teeth. Have you body scored him lately? Have you tried giving him water with electrolytes in it? They usually like the horse electrolytes.
He's medium silver gray. The color is determined on the blanket down by his skin. The coloring on his face and neck aren't considered. It would be on his registration that he has some white on his face and neck but in the show ring, he would be in a medium silver gray class.
I would go ahead and get him. You can introduce him slowly by having him in a pen next to them so they can start with sniffing noses through the fence.
I'm sorry you lost your other guard llama.
I like to tell all my horror stories of births gone bad and talk about cleaning poop daily. Mentioning we never go on vacation because of animals. Mention the twice a day without fail milking. Just talking about what must be done daily. Mention the worming and shots.
Certainly complaining...
A small horse one should work. There should be other coats out there that are more like dog coats. The other option is an extra large or XXL vest. You put it on backward so the zipper goes along their back.
While adults usually don't have a problem with coccidia, it can happen. It should never be ruled out just because they are an adult. And you can have a very high coccidia amount without diarrhea in either kids or adults.
Sorry about losing your girl.
This is the method I followed to band. I did have to remove the old bands to put the new ones on since her horns were thick.

Yes, I banded an adult female. She was in some pain when I first put the bands on and then every time I put new bands on. I gave her a shot of Banamine on the days I changed bands. I saw no regrowth but I since sold her so I don't know if there has been growth since I sold her. But for me it was...
Southern - My deepest sympathy regarding your sister. Sounds like you had one heck of a year.
Glenmar - Sorry about your horse and pups. We lost our beloved Violet of 13 years this year right before we moved. She had a massive tumor in her stomach and could no longer eat.
Yes, you can add that and still offer minerals.
I have seen some good things with the herbs. You do have to follow instructions. Herb must be given more frequently than typical chemical dewormers.
Get Sulcrafate (Karafate) from the vet. It is for ulcers. I always ended up with tablets so give 1 tablet per 50 lbs twice a day. You could also give him C&D Antitoxin. Follow instructions on bottle. That will help with any toxins in his stomach.
