On a Nubian you should be getting close to a gallon a day milking twice a day. Don't feed the baby whole milk from the store it is not good for them. They need colostrum for the first couple days and then she needs formula for goats sold at your local ag shop or online. Hope more milk starts...
Wow I think she looks great but she doesn't look big. We just had this experience and our goat was large around the belly and back end. I look forward to seeing your new baby!
How long after the babies born can I start milking the doe? I just built a nice milking station and am ordering milking supplies. Super excited about the milk!!!
Thanks everyone for all the good feedback. It is a blessing to get this little baby today considering it is my birthday also!! On a serious note we think there might be another baby in there is it possible for there births to be spaced out a day or two? It would seem that would be the case but...
I just wanted to pop this question up to make sure. I am 80% sure she is but would love some info anyway. First off her belly is larger than normal. I have two other does that are smaller around the belly. Also her utter is getting big, but there is no milk coming out yet I figure it won't come...
Wow she is beautiful! I am looking forward to seeing her give birth how weeks is the full term.gonna be? I have a goat that was given to me about two months ago she seems pregnant but I don't know m. I will post pics when I can thanks for sharing.
The Nubians sound great with the mentor and the quantity/quality of the milk.
We just got a few Nigerian Dwarfs cause they are less to feed since they are bit smaller. I have been reading that they are great for milking but they do give less milk but surprising for there size. Good luck sounds...
Love your little goat she is so cute. I just got two more nigerian dwarfs and I love em. Thanks for sharing. I am actually in the same boat as you trying to identify my goats breed. I can't post links or pics yet though. Thanks again for sharing!
Hey,
We just got some goats they are all dwarf goats but they look different. I am needing assistance in identifying these breeds. Our goal is to have a herd we can milk. Thank you in advance!
Since I am new to this site I can not post photos up here. Here is the link instead to the photos...
