:hugs :hugs :hugs :hit:hit My heart goes out to you in this hard season, Bay. I wish I lived closer so I could hug you really hard and cry with you sometime.
And that's all, folks! Due to censorship of the truth on this site, they will no longer be using my posts to generate hits and money from advertisers. It's been lovely to know some of you....you know who you are! Bless you and stand for truth...it could save a life or two.
At the same time, puppy and chicks together, raised together in the same place. Train the pup up on the chicks, leash training, obedience training, so that by the time he would want to chase them, he already knows your commands and how you want him to behave around the chickens.
Don't allow...
She's so beautiful! Doesn't look like an old dog at all, does she?
Whole fat buttermilk in her food may help....can give her an extra bit of fat and protein without taking up too much room in her gut and easy on her digestive system.
Eli, my miracle mechanic(you have to understand, as a single mother/person, I've not had the advantages of having a handy husband hanging around, fixing mechanical things for me all these years, so this is indeed a miracle to me!), put that starter motor on in about 10 min. or less...most of...
They got that septic pumped in late winter/early spring but it didn't correct the situation....then I found out who put their septic in and it all became clear. That leach bed will NEVER act correctly, so we will try to rectify it from up above by laying more soil down on it with the use of...
I agree! I think every grandma or grandpa's goal in life should be to make grandkids excited to come to their house. :D =D Bay, I would be VERY excited to come to grandma's house if I was one of yours!
I was always excited to go to my grandma's house as she lived on a farm and it was all...
Never did find that yellowjacket nest. That field has a large leach bed in it that isn't working properly, so there were two paddocks that had sopping wet ground and even water standing on the surface....NOT clean water. One of the sheep got hoof scald shortly after grazing the first paddock...
I'd roll out mulch round bales on that all year, rolling them out real thick, to create a layer of rotting mulch. This will help you start to conserve what moisture you do get and also to start building you some deeper topsoil over time. Come late winter, early spring, when it's rotted...
Wasn't me! We've always used a single strand of hotwire about knee high to the average man, no baiting of the wire necessary. Never had a deer cross it and we are in deer country central. Used that kind of fencing for over 40 yrs successfully....now we have a fenced garden surrounded by dogs...
Got my starter motor in the mail! Hope to dig into things this weekend and get that put on. Also going to replace wheel bearings on the right rear...been making a terrible squeaking/squeeling noise back there when it gets hot.
I do pasture/grass feed only but most of the lambs I buy have been eating creep of some kind or other. I just put them on pasture and let them be. I think the change would only be a concern if one was changing from grass to grain all the sudden or from one type of grain based feed to another...
Thank you! When I tear into it to put the new starter motor in there I'll check all wires and grounds to make sure all are still in good working order and fastened down tightly.
The ones I can easily access are all nice and tightly screwed down, as that was the first thing I checked. Thank...
