How ever much I really, really, really, really, really, REALLY want to get 2 Nigerian Dwarfs, I need to ask - how old can the get? I will most likely be going to college in 5-6 years. I am already leaving chickens and cats and turtle for my poor parents and younger sibling to take care of, I...
I've heard of several people housing their chickens and goats in the same place - has anyone here done this with success? What do your chickens think about it? (I want to get 2 ND)
At first at least, I won't be able to. I have approx. 5200 feet of pasture, and plan on getting 2 ND. I am thinking/planning to take them out for "walks" in the woods so they can play and eat things there.

I want goats so bad! However, I am not sure about being able to freshen the does so the can continue to give milk. Will they give milk without freshening? If not, how often do you freshen them and what are the basics on breeding/birthing goats? I'll be getting 2 ND does, and I read they can have...

Oh, I should be able to do that. I've had it done many times to myself (along with other things involving blood and needles.) So I shouldn't have a problem. Where do I get the blood from?
I am looking for a pet, not planning on showing. Milk would be nice.I don't really have options to actual goat breeders, just hobbyists. How do you test for CAE? Since I will be selling the kids that come from breeding the does for milk, I would like to know how so that I can when it comes time...
